My Belief On Belief
Trying to figure out what all this life is about.
We are emotions, that are fluctuated in constant action. These fluctuations are subject to our moral integration, from the senses we perceive. This is of massive value if accepted as true, it would mean that our subjective moral map is the key to mental health and stability. I’ll try to explain my view.
The more distance between the objective you and your mental conception of morality, the more negative emotion you experience.
Actions constitute our maximum personal truth. When exploring actions we encounter unknown territory of reality, it is full of monsters, things that create insecurity. The stronger the moral stability, created fundamentaly by our relationship with death, the more capacity you have to give attention to the monster, without ignoring it’s presence, running away, or desintagrating it, and therefore have more information as to how to reduce it to reality, see what’s the best you can do, which is not emotions. Reality is, and you just are. Life begins where fear ends.
Our present is not reality. Being emotions, we are restrained to the story we have of ourselves in relationship with everything. Our story, our experience is who we are objectively, not who we want to be, or could have. A story is information, and ideas are specific condensed information, therefore our ideas are us, literally, rather than the common conception of us as an entity, that has ideas. Actions, is where we, as ideas, come into symphony with reality, ideas are limited to being constrainted specific information, and reality is all information, that is why we are so flawed, and are constantly adapting and learning from mistakes. That is also why I believe we are generally 20%, 80% or 95% right, and not a bidimensional division of black and white, right or wrong.
This would also reaffirm that our moral map, which are ideas of how to act, is the key to positive emotion. If the most true to us is morality, then belief constitutes literally who we are, and therefore become. It is not a mere tool, it’s us. Belief is an acceptance that something exists or is true. We all have belief, it can be nihilistic, agnostic, atheist, or simply whatever reason we have for not dying. Religion is a moral map created by many individual beliefs that agreed on certain information, the context being how to act. You cannot, by definition, believe in nothing. Morality appeared in the human species as an evolution of empathy, which created cooperation, and subsequently created our mass success as a species. The best ideas to the continuation of life are peace and love, the sense of oneness, the “I don’t know, you don’t know, but I know that we’re going through the same”. We can open this idea into the realm of all life forms, the context being the universe, and life being Gaia, all ecosystems but together, evolving in contrary direction to the unidimensionality of time, fate being a cold and dark universe, and life being energy that is configured in such way to go against fate. We are life’s awareness, but life is a much greater thing.
